The Craziest Prop Bets For Super Bowl 49

Betting on NFL games is fun. Placing a big bet on who is going to win the Super Bowl is even better. The tops, of course, just might be deciding which Super Bowl prop bets to roll with. The beauty is the range, as it goes so much further than the final score. It’s not just about who wins or by how much, or how many points are scored. It goes far beyond the actual game itself and for an entire evening, the Super Bowl isn’t the spectacle you’re enjoying – it’s your bets.

Some are crazy, some are funny and some just make sense. We’re ditching the traditional Super Bowl prop bets at the door, though, and sticking with the craziest of them all. We’ve searched high and low for our favorites. Feel free to laugh along with us, place a bet or tell us which are your own personal favorites:

Katy Perry, Galore

Katy Perry is one of the most popular singers in the world. She’s hot, she’s cold, whatever else and well, really just hot. She’s performing at the halftime show, so we’re sure to be in for some fireworks (see what I just did there?), among other things. Just what, of course, is open for debating – and also betting. Specifically, one of the craziest Super Bowl prop bets involving Kay Perry is what she will be wearing when she first comes out. Bettors can choose between pants (+450), shorts (+250) or a skirt/dress (-300). Fans can also even bet on how much her name will be mentioned outside of her performance (over/under two times).

Beli-Smile

Bill Belichick isn’t really known for his smile. In fact, he looks like a villain at almost all times and is rather gruff when on camera or in front of the media. He’s known for showing little emotion or revealing much information about, well, anything. So, what are the odds he even has a slight grin during the Super Bowl? If the Patriots are up big or are sure to win in the closing seconds, it’s actually pretty possible. Even “Beli-cheat” has to smile if he’s about to win the Super Bowl for the fourth time, right (Yes, +140 and No, -180)?.

You can also bet on the color of Belichick’s classic hoodie (grey, blue or red) or exactly what type of hoodie he’ll be sporting (sleeves or no sleeves?). So much Bill Belichick, so little time to place Belichick Super Bowl prop bets.

Gisele Sighting

Tom Brady has a beautiful wife. You must find her. Or the cameras might at the Super Bowl, at least. In an odd “Where’s Waldo” type of spin, bettors can lay down some cash if they think the NFL will locate his wife in the crowd. They typically do it at least once or twice for a big game with most big name players, so it’s a pretty good bet to take. The real question, though, is will they do it once, or more than once? Fans can take the over 1.5 (even) or stick with one sighting or none (-140).

Crotch Mode

Marshawn Lynch has made waves in recent weeks for his funny, yet inappropriate crotch grab when he dives for a touchdown. The NFL fined him for it and if he does it in the Super Bowl, he’ll get another fine, as well as a 15-yard penalty for the Seahawks. Is it worth it for Beast Mode to go into Crotch Mode? That all depends. Maybe his head coach just doesn’t care (a touchdown is a touchdown, after all) or it could come at the end of a game. After all, how much does a penalty matter if Lynch does the crotch grab after a touchdown that puts the game away in the final seconds? These are the factors one must consider if they plan on betting on Lynch doing the act (Yes, +350) or not (No, -500).

Menzel Mistake?

Frozen’s Idina Menzel has a piercing voice and when she couldn’t hit the high note of the super famous “Let it go”, she got torn apart online. What if she messes up during the National Anthem at the big game? No one hopes for it, but even the best singers in the world can struggle with what some deem to be the most difficult song to perform live. What’s more difficult is betting correctly whether or not Menzel will omit or forget a word (Yes, +450 or No, -700).
