Sunday + Monday Night Football

The two biggest games of the week are typically played on Sunday and Monday Night. Sure, the schedule for this year has not been all that great. Too many times we have seen two teams that are not heading to the playoffs play on Monday Night Football. That will be the case this week, as well. Despite that, we are still going to give you our bets for the Sunday Night and Monday Night Football games for Week 13 of the National Football League season.

Detroit Lions @ New Orleans Saints -9

Well atleast this game has two teams that are fighting for playoff spots. Unlike the Monday Night game, the Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints are both in contention within the NFC. The Lions are in second place; tied with Chicago in the NFC North. At 7-4, they are also one of three teams fighting for the final two playoff spots. For New Orleans, they enjoy a one game lead on the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC South. The Saints are also looking to chase down San Francisco for the second seed, which would give them homefield advantage. The Lions are coming off a Thanksgiving Day loss to the Packers, where the defense had a hard time slowing down Aaron Rodgers, and the offense was nearly non exsistent. For New Orleans, they were able to pick up a big win over the Giants at home. In the win, they scored 49 points. We feel this game will come down to offense, and the Saints have that. Detroit has been too inconsistent for our enjoyment. We are going to bet the New Orleans Saints -9 in this one. Saints win by double digits!

San Diego Chargers -3 @ Jacksonville Jaguars

When schedule makers put this game on the slate, they were hoping for San Diego to be in the lead in the AFC West, and the Jaguars to be contending for an AFC South title. Instead, both teams are at, or near the bottom in the division. San Diego has lost six straight games, and appear to be on the verge of firing head coach Norv Turner. Phillip Rivers cannot avoid throwing the big interception, and the defense cannot get stops when they need to. Jacksonville comes in as the second worst scoring team in the league. Only the Colts are saving the Jaguars from being in last place in their division. Jacksonville fired long time head coach Jack Del Rio last week. Despite being on the road, we feel the athleticism of the Chargers will win out in this game. San Diego is favored by a field goal, but we think it will be a touchdown as the final margin. We are betting San Diego -3 over Jacksonville.

Best of luck! We are looking forward to these two games. We feel they will be action packed, much like all the games have been this season. We hope you enjoy the games, and our picks win you some weekend money! Best of luck!
